Builders
November 23, 2009
Dear Authorized Wick Builder,
Today, Wick Building Systems voluntarily filed to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. This filing does not spell the end for Wick Buildings, and indeed is essential to our plans to continue in business.
After a catastrophic decline in the housing market, the Company recently made the hard decision to close our housing divisions. Now, the Company has determined that the Chapter 11 process provides the most orderly means to liquidate some of its assets, restructure its obligations and facilitate a continuation of Wick Buildings through a possible sale to a new ownership group or reorganization of the company. We will continue our work, designing and manufacturing high quality products for you builders and your customers, for whom we all work. In as many ways as possible, it will be business as usual for Wick Buildings and its customers.
Wick has requested Court authority to continue to honor our normal business commitments, such as customer deposits, warranty programs and service obligations, promotional programs and the like. We have also asked for approval of our financing arrangements. While we can make no promises, these are routine requests and we have every reason to expect the Court to grant us these approvals later this week. With court approval of our financing arrangements, we can and will continue paying for the day-to-day goods and services we need to keep providing you high quality buildings and related services.
Because you are so vital to our success, I want to assure you that our ultimate plan is not intended to affect our relationship with you in any way. Nor should it cause you to lose confidence in the proud company that stands behind the products that you sell to your customers.
While this is uncharted territory for all of us, be assured that we will do our best to keep you fully informed of developments relating to our reorganization progress. We deeply appreciate the messages of support so many of you have sent. We share your determination to prevail. Together, we can weather this storm, as we have so many others over the years. Sincerely,
Jeff Wick Tom Wick
